RocketDock a project by PunkLabs www.punklabs.com
Now that my tuned Windows XP laptop and desktop computers are working well, I decided I had enough left-over cycles to add some new utilities. The first utility I added was RocketDock.
I don't suffer from Mac envy or even Vista envy. But, I do think that the freeware program RocketDock, is a true productivity and usability (is that a word?) booster. And it looks cool too - bonus. http://www.rocketdock.com/
RocketDock, http://www.rocketdock.com/, is an animated, alpha-blended application launcher, which is cooler than it sounds. Adding icons linked to programs is easy. You can also easily add links to folders too. The image above is from my desktop computer. You'll notice that my desktop is fairly clean. Before RocketDock, I had an unsightly clutter of icons. With RocketDock, I have organized my key applications and folders, leaving only a smattering of Windows Icons.
RocketDock comes with numerous themes, shapes, colors, icons, animations and it can be placed where you want it, top, bottom, left-side, right-side, and there's even support for multiple monitors. Using RocketDock feels quite natural, I've become RocketDock dependant. The only change I'm considering is moving it to the bottom of the screen. Recommended.
Minimum System Requirements: Windows 2000/XP/Vista, 500Mhz or faster CPU, 10MB RAM free.
Now how cool is that?
